The scope of the loading test was mainly the check of the analytical model of the bridge. The loading was realized with a series of tracks, of total weight ~1.0 MN, moving along the bridge with progressive speed. The deformations of the bars have been measured through electrical and mechanical strain gauges and the deflections of the deck with surveyor’s level. The comparison of theoretical results and measurements revealed valuable conclusions as to the degree of the fixed support of the junctions, the non linear behavior of intensity and deformation and the dynamic coefficient φ, which allowed the amelioration of the analytical model.
